2025: A Year to Remember at North Oaks
With a new year right around the corner, now is the perfect time to pause and reflect on a special 2025 at North Oaks.
From stunning community renovations to vibrant programming and partnerships that brought our residents joy and sparked creativity, the past year was truly unforgettable.
Here’s a look back at some of our favorite moments and milestones from the past year!
January: First Floor Renovations Completed!
One of the early highlights of 2025 was the completion of community renovations, designed to elevate every aspect of life at North Oaks.
Residents now enjoy breathtaking new common areas, including the refreshed lobby with new floors and lighting and the beautifully transformed library and multi-purpose room. Seeing these spaces come to life has truly brought a new level of warmth and welcome to our community!

February: Residents Susan & Jules Sidle Featured on WJZ-TV
The Sidles, who have been married for over 60 years, shared the heartwarming story of how they met, and their secrets to a happy marriage!
March: North Oaks Launches Partnership with MICA
MICA graduate student Lorena Garcia began teaching weekly art classes at North Oaks, sparking creativity and connection among our residents. The engaging classes allowed residents to experiment with different forms of art, from watercolor painting to jewely making and more!

April: Resident Dr. Bernie Vine Featured on WMAR 2 News
North Oaks was proud to honor Dr. Bernard Vine, a 102-year-old resident and World War II veteran, for his remarkable service and lifetime of impact during a special celebration on Wednesday.
Surrounded by family, friends, and community leaders, Dr. Vine received a Centenarian Life Membership from the Jewish War Veterans of the USA and a special proclamation from Baltimore County Councilman Izzy Patoka.
July: North Oaks Participates in Baltimore County Restaurant Week
North Oaks was proud to be the only senior living community featured in Baltimore County Restaurant Week! During the week-long celebration, we hosted community partners and elected officials for special lunches, showcasing our culinary expertise and excellence.

August: Resident Art Showcase at MICA Featured on WJZ-TV
The beautiful and creative artwork made by our residents during the art classes led by Lorena went on display at MICA’s Lazarus Center for the public to enjoy! It was exciting and rewarding for our residents and their families to see their work exhibited at a premier arts institution.
October: North Oaks Honors Centenarians with Special Celebration
Our entire community came together for a special Centenarian Celebration honoring eight incredible residents who have each lived a century of life. Surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors, honorees received certificates from local elected officials Izzy Patoka and Cheryl Pasteur. This special event was a wonderful tribute to the senior members of our community whose wisdom and enduring knowledge enrich our lives every single day.
November: North Oaks Named to U.S. News and World Report’s List of Top Nursing Homes
North Oaks and our Autumn Ridge Health Center were proud to be recognized in the U.S. News and World Report‘s Best Nursing Homes list in the long-term care category!
This honor is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our entire team—from our nurses and therapists to our support staff—who dedicate themselves every single day to providing compassionate, personalized care.
